At the time, it definitely seemed like it was just dragging on... nursing all day, sleeping all the time (but only short naps, never long enough for me to sleep too), no time for getting other things done. But at the same time, every time a new milestone is hit, I always felt incredulous: How could *my* baby be crawling? Walking? Really enjoying food that doesn't come from me? Where did my baby go?!?!

Oh, man, and they really do chatter all the time. My three-year-old pretty much never stops talking. I love it, I really do, but at the same time I kind of miss the stillness sometimes.Holly Scuderohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11952942010714094175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6290255598024083177.post-58960700629825935462015-06-09T19:11:35.157-07:002015-06-09T19:11:35.157-07:00Those baby snuggles really make it all worthwhile!...Those baby snuggles really make it all worthwhile!Holly Scuderohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11952942010714094175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6290255598024083177.post-82332511642184616292015-06-09T19:10:52.785-07:002015-06-09T19:10:52.785-07:00Thank you! (Those are, thankfully, few and far between at this point.) But it really is amazing how drastically life can change in such a short amount of time!Holly Scuderohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11952942010714094175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6290255598024083177.post-71662044377764530232015-06-09T11:50:44.328-07:002015-06-09T11:50:44.328-07:00Look at that little squish! I remember how HARD the first baby was, but by the third, I was just really enjoying the newborn thing because I knew what was to come, and I knew how fleeting the baby stage was. (It did NOT feel that way with the first, and I totally got tired of people telling me that!)

For instance, one thing I've really enjoyed with subsequent babies is that they don't talk, so you don't have to try to pay attention to their chatter every second, lol. Something you learn to appreciate once you have older children! :)Lauren Waynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07500733577920040395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6290255598024083177.post-21410260540535515742015-06-09T06:51:20.964-07:002015-06-09T06:51:20.964-07:00Time flies, it really does. I distinctly remember telling my girlfriend that I finally understood, truly understood, how sleep deprivation could be a torture. But man, those baby snuggles... I'm still dealing with sleep issues with my 3yo - and while I know that in 3 years it will be a thing of the past, it is still not easy to deal with in the present ;)Dionna @ Code Name: Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12463687059904219224noreply@blogger.com
